Worth it?

Is this worth it if the bike has damaged fork ears?  The fork ears on the bike are from the wrong year.  The bike rides and corners great and can't see that there is any problem other than the cosmetic one of the fork ears remaining from whatever happened. Damage to the bike unknown...

One of the fork seals is leaking and should be replaced. He has 2 seals and will include them in the deal.

All that is very minor. I do not know what the market is in Portland, but the bike seems to be in very good shape. Here in Kansas City it would go, for $1700.00 easy.
