bike dies after being rode

hondarider
I bought a 1980 cb750c, (40,000 mile)last november. It sat for a year without being driven.  always starts fast and easy. never rode any distance, just around the area for maybe 10 min. or so. Rode the bike 35 miles, died, started right up, died, and would not start again. Had to haul it home. When i got it home, it started up fast and easy and has since. i have not had a chance to ride it again. Idles fine.
Thanks for any info.

That's a long time to sit without riding so you may have a varnish buildup in the carbs and jets. Get a can of Seafoam at Walmart or auto parts store and run in the gas. You can also use it in the oil to clean the engine out. Put about 1 oz per gallon of gas and run it.
