Lincoln Highway Bullitt

This is my 1980 bobber I just stripped it down and painted the chassis. Painted the motor. Made a short rear fender. Lowered the bike. Fit a peanut tank on it. Model A tailight. Single seat. Pods. Leaf spring rear suspension. I didn't want the hardtail. Only thing I would like to do yet is get some smaller gauges if I can find them. Any questions just ask.

Do you have more details on how you did that rear suspension?  I like the look of that.

I'm also curious how your pods are running.  I think I might tackle them in the spring.  I've been reading a ton on how to tune carbs lately and I think I have enough info now to make the work.

I only had 2 plys at first but it was to soft. It is a trailer spring I purchased at tractor supply. I haven't had any reel issues with the pods. I guess I am lucky compared to some of the horror stories I here about them. Maybe because of the elevation I'm at. 3000 ft. But I have had it at sea level also and it performed well.

Very cool.   So its only on one side?
Does it squeak?   Doesn't look like there is too much welding involved which is nice, as I would have to farm that out.

It's quiet. About one a month I place a little grease between the plys and under the slide mount.

The only place where you could get yourself in trouble if your not careful is a sequence of small bumps like rumble strips. With no shock the rear tire will bounce. But normal riding it is fine.

Change the handle bars, and tank. Cut off the rear of the frame, and then weld tunes going down to the swingarm to make it a hardtail. Then paint to please.

Any K model wire wheels will bolt right on. Just be sure to use your cush drive if you use a 69-76 wheel on the rear.
