Those are part of the ignition system. You must have them for the bike to run.

got some painting done on the modified bits on the frame, amazing what you can do with the old rattle can!

also fired it up! it backfired a few times here and there but once we hooked up the black to 12v to excite the stator she smoothed out even more, the line on the right of the carbs we kinda guessed it was a vacuum of some sort because when we first fired it on only two cylinders were running, so we hooked it into the carb sync port.

When you put the F2 swingarm in to this frame, at the pivot point, how well did that fit up? Is the mounting width at the pivot the same on both arms?

It fit pretty close actually, the frame is maybe a half inch too wide I'd say, we just used five washers we had lying around to get it perfect for lining up with the centerline and inverted the sprocket on the rim to line up with the front sprocket.

got my wheels and tires on and mounted my bars, damn 1 inch bars are hard to find controls for so I think im going to chop out the bars that are welded in the ends and weld in some 7/8s make it easier to get parts and I can use the stock controls for now on it. is coming together really nicely and is a lot more comfortable than I had hoped for so I am happy, still need to figure out a rear fender and have to cut down the front fender for a better look. does anyone here know of how to run an oil pressure gauge? or should I just hook up an oil light? I feel like if your oil light comes on though youre kind of S.O.L. already.
