reinstalled the carbs and fired the bike up (very cold natured) but seemed to start running better, than
they stared leaking from the drain lines. did not get o rings in the kit for this so i guess i will need to replace them ? its the only soft part i did not replace

You will need to remove the float bowls and check. Also if the floats are not brass they could have become fuel logged, and not float the way they are supposed to.

I thought that i checked and cleaned everything good ,so how do i prevent this from happening again

Do whatever you did on the one carb. Did you have kit's with new needle's, and seat's? If you have the plastic/synthetic floats you might want to get a small scale, and weigh them. sometimes they will become saturated, and not float right. If this is the case you can try setting them lower.

I'll check out the floats better, but i did all 4 carbs the same, i thought anyway

I have experienced the same symptom..

Upon close review I discovered one of my brass floats had a pin hole in it and was filling up with gas .  The float would not raise far enouth to completely turn off the fuel coming into the bowl.
