can anyone tell me whether k6 fork tubes will fit into k2 forks?
or are they all not interchacgeable?

They are interchangeable. You can slide the whole fork tubes into the triple trees. Also the tubes will work with the K-2 sliders. The break mount is different on the K-2 sliders then the K-6. However all, you need is the correct caliper bracket to go with which ever sliders, you use,

thanks tools.....but i will ask the question again as i got my facts wrong.



hi,

i have a k2 with what i believe is fitted with later model front forks (i think they are from a kz or a k6 model)
the chrome tubes and forks to these are in good shape and they work well.

when i bought the bike i was also given the original k2 forks which i now have stored somewhere.
they have badly pitted chrome tubes in them.

my question is:

can i use the good chrome tubes that are now on the bike and install them successfully
into the k2 forks that are presently stored away?
