Hi all, just been out to test the cdi units as described in the manual, after following the instructions and using the multi meter, the book says that when you flash the end of the bit of wire that you are using for a jump lead the meter should fluctuate between 12v and ov, All I get is the meter reading 11.70v and nothing when I flash the jump lead to earth, I checked to make sure I had connected the meter ok and that was fine. I have done this as there is no spark at the plugs and the resin out of the back of the cdi units had started to melt. If I have done all this correctly does this mean the cdi units have had their day and need replacing. Oh and this is a 1979 cb750kz. Thank you for any advice.
