dragging noise while idling

Hello all. My '74 cb has a kind of dragging noise while the bike is idling. When you engage the clutch it goes away. It doesn't seem to be present when the bike is in gear. Any thoughts?

Does it sound kinda like a rock tumbler? Noise is probably just clutch noise caused by the carbs being out of sync. Generally a good sync will take care of most of the noise. There is always a little being 1970s air cooled motors.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

Well... I've never heard a rock tumbler, but I imagine it would probably sound like that. Thanks for the tip, would have never guessed it was connected to the carb syncing.

mine does it too, pull in the clutch and it goes away, turn up your idle a little, between 1100 and 1300 rpm, that should quiet it down a little, they all do it, in one form or another,  mikey440
