electrical gremlin

Kylemichael
ive been having this weird electrical issue going on for the past week and it just seems to get worse. earlier this week i was riding my bike and mid way back home the bike just totally shuts off. dead. i pulled over checked my main fuse to see if it popped. checked out fine. i jiggled my key and boom headlight turns back on(my headlight it connected to my main power so when my bike turns on so does the light). i rode home and took a closer look but everything seemed fine. went back out for another ride and it did the same thing. i was thinking my knee is bumping into my key since it is relocated to the left side of my bike. but the bike still wouldnt turn back on. long story short i cant get my bike to start up again. it has power because when i turn the key the tail light comes on but not the headlight. battery gets a full 12volts. any idea what it could be? just a worn out key switch or is there a main wire i should trace. thank you

My best guess since I cannot see the modified wiring would be either the key switch is bad, or there is a bad connection in the wiring to it. Try wiggling the wires, and see if things go off and on.

I had a problems like that.  it was  moisture on the coils.   auto parts store sells  stuff called Gunk  Ignition sealer in a 6 oz spray can. about 5-6 bucks  worked like  gold.  no more problems.  also  works on  leaking gaskets.  its a clear spray .

I tried this stuff called wire dryer that is similar to the ignition sealer but still no dice. I know my battery seems to be taking a dunk on me since it's always on a charger. But I got a new key switch ignition and still nothing. Following all the wires and they all seem fine. I'm thinking it's the fuses and just a new battery. I bought this bike with funky wiring so trying to trace the issues is annoying to say the least
