idles prefect, shuts off when I engage throttle

I have a 77 cb750, she was running like crap so I started with replacing the spark plugs, then she ran a lot better but would idle real low and eventually shut off. next, I cleaned the carbs, after I resembled every thing now she idles perfect but when I put it in gear and give it gas, she clunks out. someone please help!!!

It sounds like your carbs might still be dirty. Also check for vaccume leaks.

you're right, it had a vacuum leak and needed the floats adjusted, now she runs like a champ! thanks for the reply, just wish it was last week!!! lol...
