kill switch wiring

Kylemichael
ive been dealing with alot of wiring issues on my bike one that has been irritating me the most is my kill switch has stopped working. i thought it was my starter solenoid going on so i replaced it. still no push start. i traced the wiring to see if i could find a short or a bad ground but nothing. is it just a bad switch or is there something i should be looking at also. i noticed that when i press the start button nothing happens but my headlight does cut out. and when i release the button the headlight comes back on. funny. any help would be appricated

The headlight is supposed to go off when you hit the starter button, so that is good. Have you checked the ground on the starter solenoid? They are rubber mounted and require the ground wire (one of the two coming out of it) to work.
