looking for 4to2 exhaust for 78k for less then $300 (pics)

Muscle racer

hey guys

I think its time to do something about my exhaust.

before I put the wraps on, the top part of the exhaust was looking weak, old and the black color had faded to a grey.

after the wraps, as you can see in the pics, that same top part of the exhaust is causing the wrap to turn white. maybe I bought crappy wraps, but I think its bc of the exhaust.

its only the top part of the exhaust, bc the rest of it is solid, black and rust free.

should I try to replace it, or just remove the wraps and sand the part of the pipes, then paint it black?

I like the look the wraps give, so Im just gonna wrap it up again. will def buy better wraps.

thanks

I got a set of pipes doing the same thing. It is cheap wrap. I knew it when I bought mine. I like it when it turns. Gives it that weathered look IMO. DEI makes some of the best exhaust wraps you can buy, buy they are also the most expensive.  I used their brown on a car and it never turned. Never used their black. Oh, and it turned colors right there just cuz that's the hottest part of the pipes.
