Thanks! Speaking of long haul, I recently got back from a 500 mi. round trip to the Washington state rally for Southern Cruisers, of which I am road captain in Mt. Baker chapter #420. The Ride was made with my best buddy and his 2005 Honda Shadow 750. Only ended up on the side of the freeway once when #1 and 2 cylinders decided to shut down. We took the bowls off and found the jets to be very clogged with a rust colored sludge
. Ive only owned the bike for about 5 months and didnt have a chance to check the carbs out before hand. It was apparent the rusty tank had done a tole before I was able to get the inline filter on. Anyway the rest of the ride was awesome, we cruised through Seattle at an average of 80 mph
with little to no traffic. With the newly installed highway bars and our stuff packed against the sissy bars we had what we called "couch cruisers" I was practically laying down the entire trip and arrived at the destination at 3:45am without a single complaint from my body. We parked the bikes ass to ass, tied a rope to the top of the sissy bars, threw a tarp on the ground and over said rope and promptly CRASHED into our bags. Um I guess I was just trying to say the bike is awesome for long trips... Im a bit long winded at times.
