recently bought a 1981 cb750 dohc "super sport" 72,000km
absolutely love it! couple of questions, all help gr8ly appreciated:
1) absolute bugger to start (is this common?)
2) noisy cam chain when cold - again common?
3) any suggestions on upgrades / mods that are advisable (steering damper etc)
please feel free to add general knowledge comments - all advice is appreciated.
1) Yes. There is a vacuum petcock AFTER the gravity one that interferes with this. Until the bike pops some, the petcock will stay closed. You can eliminate it, but just be dilligent w/ the manual petcock.
2) Yes, but check adjustment. Check valves while you're at it.
