no spark

I have no spark on my 78 cb750. Points have proper gap an spark when turning over. Have power to the coils tried another set that came of a running bike. what could be my problem.

Your points should not have any spark. If they do, then your condensers are bad.

if I hook a test light up to the points it will ground out is what I mean by has spark.

You only get power to the coils when the points are closed.  If you are getting it up to the coils check the ground to the coils.  I gounded mine out one time and thought I would never figure it out.
