Ive got a 72 cb750had it since 1976 never a major problem
until now  drove it 3 days ago ran great  parked it  went to ride it today no  go  got no spark Ive got power a blackw/white stripe wire that goes off when Iuse kill switch so thats working the point are moving & the wires that come from them to the coil(yellow & blue) when unpluged from the coil & the test light is used to check groundtells me the points are trigering that circut  what seems wrong to me is the blue &yellow wires coming from the coils that when pluged in goes to point  has power coming out of them is that right ? are my coils shorted ? it seems weird both would go bad what would the resistance be on those coils? I dont mind buyin a part if Im replacing a bad part but I want to be sure ..

Having the same trouble with my 74. If you figure it out let me know would you. I have been messing with mine for three weeks on and off. Work on it until I am ready to push her in the creek and them take a break for a few days. I don't know if a bad regulator or bad rectifier would cause the problem or not. I also don't mind replacing the coils if I knew that was the issue.

Great looking bike man. I wish I could say I have owned mine that long. I bought it about three years ago and spent about 18 mth. turning her into my vision of a cafe bike. Thanks alot in part to all the parts I was able to order from Carpy and alot of time in the garage doing things for the second and third times. I am no bike builder by any stretch but I think she came out nice.
