noisy clutch/ engine

hello....i bought a k5 american import last year and didnt notice it till i first used it but a rattling comes from the clutch area very noticeable on tickover and stops when the clutch lever is pulled in , is it the clutch or something more sinister and do i have to live with it or can it be a quick fix (as if )  thanks for your help ,, jim.

Now this is an easy one. You have typical clutch rattle. This is in almost all cases caused by the carbs not being synchronized. You need a set of vacuum gauges and from there, there service manual will tell you how to do the job. It takes some time but it is not hard. A little fan helps too as you idle the engine for a while, it will keep some air moving.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

many thanks for your reply,i,ll get the smoky engine fixed first then have a go at your solution......the fun of old bikes!!!
