Thanks, for the how-to. I have watched guys go nuts trying to polish their forks. They will rub, for hours with Mother's, or never dull. Maybe getting one fork done. Then give up, and paint them.

Hey Shinyribs.I have a 1 horse Baldor buffer.What an awsome tool!The job I did on the SS would not be good enough for me to sell to my customers.Un less of course that what they want!This maybe the second or third time I've polished forks on the bike.

The using never dull or ???will never get it to shine.You CANT shine paint,it has to come off!!!Dremmell,sand paper,air plane stripper,somethin to take the paint off.By the way air plane stripper is messy.Also you cant get it on brake parts or rubber or anything really.Nasty stuff.Be carfull with it.Mike

The forks?Polished with gaitorsThat is what i want,anyways.I like black forks,too.They just gotta be really glossy, in my opinion,unless its all flat you know.I figure that with all the gravel roads in my area,if i paint anything it is gonna get all rock chipped.If its polished you cant scratch the paint!

Nice! Can't tell by the pic, but I used to work at an auto parts store and the tool you're using looks like a die grinder. Members who need one can pick 'em up starting at around $20.
