power drain

just got the bike project running first kick ! but after running for about 5 minutes evrythung running off my fuse block which are my headlight,directionals and horn stopped working unless i throttle up then headlight comes back briefly,which tells me charging system is working,i just bought the battery about 3 months ago,i do not have any relays on thebike so i dont know if that is my problem,with bike i just meaSRED THE VOLTS ON THE BATTERY 12.7 when I start the bike it goes up to like 13.2,so charging cant keep up with the power drain

nevermind,found a loose connection from my ignition switch to my fuse block

back to power drain again,this time with bike running and lights,horn and directionals disconnected i can watch the power draining with my meter from12.5 down to like 8.5  if i rev the motor she goes up to 12-13,then goes back down,do i have a crap battery,but its 3 months old,how can i check the battery ?

just hooked up my old battery from my vtx and it held 11.5 pretty steady while bike was running even with all accessories on and went up when throttled so i huess it is my new battery,its one of those smaller batteries that supposedly have 235 cranking power,now i have to find out if its these supposedly smaller and high crank batteries can handle my bike,and get this i havent even hooked up the electric start yet
