question about re sleeving cylinders

pat english
I have a cb 750 cylinder that is bad but the other 3 look fine.im going to pick up another seized engine this weekend for real cheap and im willing to bet there is at least 1 good cylinder in that engine.so my question is:can i take a sleeve out of one and put it in another cylinder and just re ring?im trying to save money.a shop by my house will press in/out sleeves for cheap..cheaper then buying 4 new pistons and rings and re boring.would this work?

I would ask the shop about it, but I doubt it would work.

When the used cylinder is pressed back in,it will most likely be out of round.

You are so right!!!
After thinking about it, They always have to bore the sleeves after pressing them in.

Wont work. You will still need to do a bit of a bore job anyways and so you won't gain anything.
Just get the pistons out and then see if a quick bore hone will do the job, depends on how bad the corrosion is.
