Very true Tools. That's the only reason I'm in the market.

Pretty busy today, but i did do this.

The more i look at this drum brake set-up, the more i like it. At first i thought i would change it back to disc brake. Now, I wouldn't change it for anything! !!

That looks like a drum off an early CB 350/450 Twin.

I think it is,too. Very strong brake actually. Probably stronger than the stock disc when properly adjusted. That's a pretty desirable front brake for the guys who set up smaller bikes for vintage racing. I'd definitely keep it if it were me!

This bike has a great collection of cool parts on it. So glad you're posting this build.

Thanks for the replies guys.  Glad your liking what you see!

Some minor progress today, fork seals. Old ones were sealing ok , but were very fragile once i started to remove them.

Out come the springs and the dampeners, as well as some 30 year old fork oil....

Pull the old seals. I remembered this trick i read a while ago. I placed the new seals in the freezer about an hour before. Coated everything with some new atf and they slid in with a  few taps on the race.

Now I still have one issue.  The clymer manual i am using tells me to consult "table 5" for the quantity of fork oil in the forks.  However, table 5 says no such thing.  Anyone (I'm looking at TOOLS here  ) knows how much fork oil they take?
