I realized my 78 has a 17in rear rim. Partsnmore is selling 18in spoke sets for cheap and I was gonna order a bunch of stuff from them. Am I better off with a 17 or 18 rear wheel as far as handling, looks, tire selection. thanks dudes

Oh yeah-what years used an 18? Seems like most i've seen are 17's.

the 69-76 are 18 inch. the 77/78 are 17 in the sohc world for the K bikes.
I like my 17 as you will have less spoke flex but the spokes are hard to find.
The ride IS the adventure. The destination is just to get gas!

As far as handling is concerned , the overall height of the tire is what you need to look at . -- A shorter wheel / tire combination will transfer more torque to the ground quicker due to a lower overall gear ratio , but will actually cut your top end speed slightly . -- My best advice is to keep it the way Honda built it , but then , I'm a purist , which may not be your genre . -- Personal choice is the best answer to this question I guess . --
