routine maintenance

cactin stowe
For my 1992 Nighthawk 750 SC, bought used, it is my guess that there should be routine valve adjustment maintenance for the bike. Are they self-adjusting, or perhaps hydraulic lifter valves, and if so, do they need some sort of routine adjusting?

That engine has hydraulic lifters and does not require adjustments

Thanks for the heads up...love those kind of leads, but I'm sitting in snowy northern Vermont. However, I am thinking of doing carbs in the off-season---cleaning, synching. Got a friend who is a good motorcycle wrench and has the right tools. Is that a big job? He doesn't seem to think so, but I always like other opinions. Maybe I'll throw it up as a forum question...
