Hi, Im switching my 78 cb750f rear sprocket from a 43 to a 41 and keeping the front 14, with the 43 the chain should be 88 links. How many links should the chain have with the 41? Thanks
Well when I had the 41/15 which is standard for the 78K, it was 88 links. When you shorten a chain, you actually have to remove 2 links. My advice would be to stick with the 88 link and if it needs shortening, get a chain breaker. You might find the drop of 2 teeth on the rear sprocket will not make much of a difference for chain length.
