strange beige liquid in my fork tubes?

bijna
I changed my fork oil this afternoon. The first, on the left side, went swimmingly though the second not so much.

I opened it up and out plopped out this beige stuff.. it smells like a band-aid and is nigh the same color. I found it rather off-putting as I had never encountered anything like it. Can anyone shine a light?

That is the by-product of water mixing with your fork oil. It is gross, but not extremely out of the ordinary. The water could be leaking in around your fork seals,or just the accumulation of humidity over time. Like I said, not unusual, but why it is necessary to flush your oil from time to time. Just replace it with ATF and you'll be good.

ATF is around $3 per quart.  Put in fresh, then add in 3-4 ounces of SeaFoam ($9 per 16 oz. can), and compress the forks around 20 times, drain, and refill with fresh ATF.  The SeaFoam will absorb water, as well as dissolve gum, varnish, and other deposits, within the tubes.  Cheers!

I'm starting to wonder if sarge has stock in seafoam.  Use it for everything!

Do you mean to tell me instead of an Amsoil dealer, we have a seafoam dealer? Crap and here I thought we were pure!
