strange noise

i need help. my 70 k0 finally runs but makes a strange noise, a screech actually when at idle, sounds like it comes from the starter area. i can make it happen when i use the kick starter with the engine off. when the engine warms up the noise goes away. any ideas? help would be appreciated.

   It could be a starter bearing or clutch coming from that area. I would pull it off and see if it turns freely. If not, I hope you are getting oil to the top end of the motor. Don't run it until you find where it's coming from.
