Carburetor hose Question

I recently acquired a 1981 CB750C. It sat around many years unused and it ran like crap so I decided to try and clean the carbs. There was a lot of wax/varnish buildup and it actually ran better after I finished, but one carb was overflowing so I think the float was stuck. I decided to get some rebuild kits and give it another try. I have a question as to where one of the hoses go on the attached picture. The smaller hose starting on the left T's in between #2 and #3 in-between the choke and the throttle linkage. My question is where does the end on the left side of the picture connect.
