81 cb-750 running a little lean

the bike rides fine but its boggs a little at high rpm and dosent have 100% power id say about %75 i thought it had a vacuum leak so i sealed the carb boots going to the engine with gasket sealent and it has k&n single pod filters but it get a little more power if i run it half choke, will running it on choke have a negative effect on my engine? and what do guys think i should do here thanx
