Tail light assembly...

A quick question for you experts out there, Is it possible to put the tail light assembly of a 1979 cb 750 on a 1975 or any others for that matter? I really like how the rounded part comes out of the back of the seat and how the tail light is shaped versus the older squared off looking ones. Thanks for your time!
