Man, you gotta be kidding me ?
Dont listen to some stupid mechanic about bikes, most of them are only in it for the $$$$$ not becuase they love bikes.
Man, have youb ever ridden the type of bike you now own ? You can "feel" the power right thru your boidy, and can hear all the parts working, let him who has ears, hear !
Old classic bikes, and especialy old Honda's, are very common here in New Zealand, becuase we like bikes we can work on ourselves. CB parts are plantiful, Honda made millions of them, and you can get naearly any engine part either straigh from Honda, or from an aftermarket bunch. They never die, some idiot has to kill them, they go practicaly for ever, and have few mechanical problems, beuing of a sturdy and practical design.
Also, they look great, they look like bikes are supposed to look, that Triumph, Norton, kinda Honda CB750, or GS1000, or maybe a Yamaha 650 special look.
You got yourself a great bike brother, enjoy it, as a peice of history, and as a wonderfuly fun way to get around.
I do nearly 450ks a week to and from work, 5 days, and even though she somrimes runs a little hungry, and sucks in water thru the air cleaner in heavy rain, she just keeps on rock'n. rain, hail, cold, hot, day or night.
