CB750 fork tubes

Hello gents and ladies.

I'm taking on a project of converting a '74 CB 750 from a chopper to a cafe' racer. The frame was not cut, just extended forks put on. My problem is, I don't know how to tell if I have a K model, or the SS. Also, I was told that I can go 2 inches under stock. Would this help in handling? I guessing it would. My most pressing issue is whether or not I have a Super Sport or a K model. As I understand it, the difference is a valve at the end of the forks. Any suggestions?
