That sucks, but it could have been worse...  Do you have a cover?  I've read a couple of touring books where the authors highly recommend covering your bike at night to keep the curious away.  They're not too expensive, and I think I've read that Wal-Mart may carry some.  Bought mine late last year, haven't used it on the road yet.  Definitely feel your pain, though.  Best of luck on the remainder of your trip!  Cheers!
