WEIRD behavior

As I have said in a couple other posts, I live in Hong Kong.  

It is the rainy season now, and they call it that for good reason.  It has been raining consistently for over a week.  I don't mean little wimpy sprinkles, I mean standing in the rain for 1 minute and you look like you fell in the harbor, kind of rain.

Well, getting to the point, it seems my CB is allergic to water!!!

This is the 3rd time it has happened.  Riding in VERY heavy rain, bike is running at normal operating temps.  Come to a stop light, and b-bb--b-bbb--b-b-bblah.  She dies.  Forget about restarting, might get one chance and if I'm not giving it the juice she won't restart.  Luckily each time this has happened I was on a rather steep incline and bump started her.

It seems as long as I can keep my RPM's about 1500 and up she'll stay awake, otherwise she just poops out...

Why is my old girl allergic to water???  Is there anything I can do???  I don't have a car, so NOT riding in the rain is NOT an option.
