If you can even _find_ a shop that works on bikes that are more than 10-15 years old.  The Honda dealer closest to me charges $90/hour for the newer bikes, and $125-150/hour for anything older than 15.

This may be why we work on them ourselves. :-)  I find them rather easy to repair.  This is due to Honda's engineers of the day.  They are simply built, and reliably engineered. I'm getting ready to re-do the brakes on the Avenger II this weekend.  Fronts (dual disc) should take maybe an hour or so, the rear (drum) maybe another 2 hours.  If I can find the parts, that is...
