The plies in the tire might be unwinding. If I were you and the shaking is as bad as you say, you best find out what it is. The last sentence is redundant. A tire is a lot cheaper than the Hospital or a Funeral.

Just because you have tread does not mean the tire is in good condition. Rim might be bent, check you wheels. Com Star wheels are known for this. They were not a favorite wheel by riders but Honda stuck by them.
