Check your local farm supply shops, such as Mills Fleet Farm.  I found the cartridge oil filters on their shelves for $3.50 each, which is cheaper than JC Whitney, after you factor in S/H fees.  It pays to shop around!  I have discovered that many parts I had mail ordered, were available locally, for the same money, or less, especially after factoring in S/H fees.
