What does the Manual say? My guess would be the continuity tester, which is the diode tester mode, most likely. This mode serves multiple purposes. The continuous beep, however, indicates a short circuit -- what you would read when connecting across a piece of copper wire. If the Manual says, "short across these leads", then that is what you should read; if the Manual says, "open across these leads", then that is what it will read when working properly. Check the Manual, and compare your readings with what it states is normal. If your readings match the Manual, then your Rectifier/Regulator is good -- look at other components within the charging system. Report back on your findings, as several folks are watching, and they may encounter similar problems -- your experience may help them in the future. Cheers!
