You're doing the right research: ask on a bunch of forums, look at EBay or Craigslist, factor in your local geographic area (some bikes are worth more in different states/countries), maybe even have the bikes appraised by a good vintage bike shop or a MC museum.

One piece of advice: be realistic and honest about the condition, and prepare to have someone pick on your bikes.  They may be looking for little things to criticize, to bring the price down.
