Carb Disassembley

I was back home for a bit, not long enough to do anything with my bike, but I did bring back the carbs with me.  I'm going to be taking them apart to clean and familiarize myself with them.  I plan on reading through the service manual but is there anything (gasket, seal, random tiny parts) that are one time use only?

I don't have a rebuild kit or any new parts to put in and I don't want to have these things in a million pieces and cant put it back together because some gasket can't be reused.

Also, as this is mostly a learning exercise for myself I was wondering if there any people that could benefit from a write up with pics as I take them apart?  I haven't looked to see whats out there just yet (I like diving in head first then if i get stuck look it up) but I'm going to be taking lots of pics for my own use and if I can help out someone let me know.
