I had the same concerns with mine. I don't know which carbs you have.Mine are the round tops. The top of it screws off by hand, there is a rubber gasket there.Mine did not stick at all.Beings that is an air only area(no gas) i don't think you will have a problem there.Might wanna be careful with the fuel bowl gaskets.Mine were slightly stuck, but came off intact easily enough. Those are the only two gaskets on the round top models that you will see.The little o-rings in between the carbs, the T-type joints, that feed fuel from one carb to another seem to come apart ok,just lube them uo to get them back together without pinching them.Easily replaced at a local hardware store if anything should happen.I would probably put those in new for good measure, regardless.I used PB blaster on my o-rings with good results, plan on replacing with new soon, though. The only really sensitive part that i came into was the debris screen on the needle seat.It will slide off of the brass body of the needle seat,so you can clean it (brass) fully, but they are plastic and you know what gas does to plastic.I've only done one set of carbs, mine of course, and everything was real easy to work with. One thing i would recommend is to be careful with the floats.Try not to twist or bend them as they are fairly fragile. Also the two long legs that the floats hinge on are pretty long and skinny. If the pin is stuck don't get carried away beating on them as i would imagine they could be broken off fairly easily, rendering that carb useless. For the most part, these things are well built and pretty tough.Proceed with a little caution, typical amount of common sense and you will be just fine.If anything should happen all the floats and gaskets ARE readily available,so don't stress too much.Like i said before,i am talking about round top carbs. If you have keyholes i am clueless on those.Enjoy your hands smelling like stale gas for the next few days.

Good luck and have fun!!!
