Nice looking bike!
Don't feel bad, Fiona does the same things.

I did fix the chock by tightening the ring under the knob.
My choke used to used to walk in ( a slow crawl )  but since I tightened that
ring a few it's been fine.

The front brake I can't help you with. My pads are new as well and they squeel.
I would assume it needed shims but I can't see where it calls for them.

Some loud noisy things ya just deal with (muffles, brake wives)
