What makes you think the rotor is causing your battery to not get charged?
A rotor and a stator is just a winding of wires. It has no moving parts.
Test them like the workshop manual says. That means you need a workshop manual if you are going to work on the bike.
Have you done a diagnostic test on the rotor or stator? All you need is a multi meter.
You should have a ground wire from the battery to the ENGINE and you should have a ground from the battery to the FRAME.
That wire hanging down on the bottom near the alternator is probably the wire going to the neutral switch.
You really need to buy a multimeter and learn how to use it.
Get the kind with a meter (analog, so you can see the meter arm move.)
