thanks guys! pulled #4 plug. its only  a month or soo old. its black. almost like oil. yikes. cleaned plug as well as others. with sand paper. turned engine over and got spark on #4 plug, at least could see a lil spark. put back together, it sounded good for a few minutes, couldnt get it to idle right, then realized that #4 pipe still cold. the spark im sure with you guys help and manual i can fix. if that was oil on plugs, im guessing that would be maybe piston rings? a whole lot more than i want to deal with. not to say it would be impossible, just never opend an engine before. thinkn now # 4 may br a week spark? looks like ive got some investigatin to do. thanks for tth moral support and advice. i will keep posted. maybe a pic or two. gettin the charging system to work was really no big deal. mayb this will be the same. just a lil more expensive.
