I know very little about the particulars of these setups,but have read quite a few times of people complaining of trouble getting all four cylinders to run an even fuel mixture.Each carb is paired to two cylinders on a common "Y",each leg of the "Y" being a different length can make for unequal flow to each.Just my two cents.BUT,i will say that if it  is something you want to do,GO FOR IT
