Recurring Fuel Flow Problem

I have a 1977 CB750 that appears to be developing air bubbles in the tank that cause a vacuum which prevents fuel from flowing through the petcock. Once I remove the fuel line and bleed the tank, fuel flow is restored, but this happens often. Sometimes several times per day. Any ideas as to the root cause of this issue? Thanks.
