Sweet, I was hoping it was something that simple.
I was definitely going to put some silver paste that I have on the pins so they won't seize again.
Do I need new pads, or can I use the one that is worn unevenly? There is still a decent amount of thickness to it.

The calipers mount different between the 76-81. The 76 pivots on a swingarm. The 81 slides on the mount sort of like on a car. You mentioned that one of the mounting bolts was damaged. This was your problem. The caliper could not slide on it. Once, you replace it it should be fine. I would recommend putting some antisize compound on all moving parts. Also I doubt the rotor is damaged. They are a lot harder then the break pads.
