Hi guys & gals, Im new to this forum, I bought a 1982 750C summer of 2010 & I think I finally have the bike running at 95%. Paid $500 bucks for it & cosmetically I couldn't pass it up. But it kind of turned into a money pit. But thats what its all about, right? It had been sitting in a garage for 16 years so it needed alot of cleaning up. I bought a 1973 new in Japan when I was in the service & loved the bike so now I have another one. Cleaned the tank, carbs 3 times before I got it right, # 3 carb had a piece of o-ring stuck in one of the channels, couldn't get it out with air or carb cleaner so I used a old trick & used a high pressure grease fitting & grease to push it out. Somebody had been working on those carbs before me & really messed them up. After the carbs were right I found out the Rotor was bad so I replaced that & the stator & brushes. I bought a nice little LED voltage moniter & pluged it into my battery tender plug & used velcro to attach it to the dash. Works good for trouble shooting intermittent electrical problems. Now after spending two days reading on this forum I would like to put a set of cafe bars on it with a 4 into 2 into 1 exhaust. But I Sold a 1995 Ducati 916 2 years ago, couldn't ride it anymore been getting leg cramps while riding, not good, getting to old I guess so I'm not so sure it would be such a good idea. The new exhaust sounds good though, any suggestions on what brand to buy or better yet what to stay away from? I was going to put POD filters on but it sounds like I should stay away from them with this year bike.
My everyday rider is a 1979 HD Superglide, also have a 1988 Honda NX125 & a 1969 BSA Thunderbolt which has been in a box for the passed 30 years. In the early 70's I ran around the California Desert with that bike, I put moto cross bars & knobby tires on it, lots of fun. Heres a couple of pic's of the 750, Oh took it out today for a short ride, ran like shit only 3 cyl fireing pissed me off but I found out I had a defective plug, the procelin broke loose & slide down over the electrode.

Have a great day
