My bike shifts harder when its hot...

...when it cold everything feels as i think it should.Once i get some heat in the oil,it starts clunking kinda hard when i shift,nothing drastic.But when at a light or an intersection,waiting in neutral,when you go to put it into 1st it bangs kinda hard.I double checked to make sure the clutch is disengaging completely.it is.I didnt know if this was just nature of the beast on these old cb's,or an actual issue that i need to address.Maybe i need a thicker viscosity oil?
