I was out putting around today and my bike just about died with no warning.I guess after getting it finally jetted right(well, almost) and putting some pretty hard full throttle runs on it, i musta jarred some rust loose outta the tank.It was so sudden of a loss of power that i thought i had lost a coil. All 4 pipes were warm, though.Hmm?Pulled the choke to about 3/4 closed and off i went.Ah ha! Fuel filter.Side of a 4 lane highway trying to clean out a crappy fuel filter full of rust,40 degrees, cars and semis blowing by kicking up cold air filled with dust...i woulda give $100 for a new filter.Got 'er cleaned half way and headed straight to an auto parts store.Got lucky and saw the bike shop i go to was open.He was hanging some new shelves up and was nice enough to let me in.He likes cafes and Hondas...he's a really good guy. I picked up two filters.Put one on the bike and one in the pocket of my riding jacket where it will stay...right beside my 10mm ratcheting wrench.Gave the old one a good heave into the bushes.Littering ain't nice, but it felt good.Something to think about
