Yeah, in the '50's the mods were the bikers that were just as much, if not more, into the clothes than the bikes. they often dressed up better than the rockers, who favored boots, jeans and leather jackets. There's some great stories about these old times being written in the last two issues of Cafe Racer magazine.

And to update my reply on which I am….well I don't ride scooters, so I guess if I get my bike going in time, I'll be starting the event at the rockers location. :) IF, and that's a big IF, I can get the day off.
